Happy Monday friends! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Last week my schedule and, thus my blogging schedule got a bit off because of President's Day. Honestly, we ate out much more often than we should have, but I suppose some weeks are going to be that way.
Here's what we had last week:
Monday: Frozen Pizzas (Pepperoni and a veggie)
Tuesday: Chicken Enchilada Casserole that I shared on my blog last week;
Wednesday, Meatloaf and mashed potatoes
Thursday: Sliders and fries
Saturday: Jersey Mike's
Sunday: Lazy Man Lasagna
This week, the plan is:
Chicken Enchilada Casserole. I am using the green enchilada sauce this time to see how it tastes
Chicken Tikka Masala and rice
Chicken Sausage and potatoes
Cheeseburger and Tot Casserole
Fettuccine Alfredo and garlic bread
Breakfast for dinner
As always the above is subject to change without notice, but I do feel better having a plan in place. I can plan my meals accordingly and it does make a big difference for me.
This week's weigh in was a bit surprising considering the crazy week of eating out, etc. I lost 0.8 pounds this week. I feel like I'm re-tackling some ground, but I went a little off the rails after Valentine's Day with the chocolate. It has started a vicious cycle of me craving sweets. I solved that problem a couple of times this week with a cup of hot chocolate. It was so good and warmed me up.
My sweet husband and I took some time to go to a record show on Saturday after our Saturday morning routine. I weigh in and then we have breakfast. I'm proud of the fact that I tracked everything yesterday, which is sometimes a struggle when I'm not 100% on track. I need to do that though. We found some great records on our outing, including an original Sound of Music from 1965. I feel like a big nerd but that is one of those musicals that make me so very happy. I recall singing songs from this musical when I was in middle school. Yesterday I did something I haven't done in quite some time, I used my clothes line. My husband says I'm old fashioned, but I do enjoy putting clothes on the line to dry. To be honest, we had too many items that needed to be washed on the delicate cycle that cannot or should not be put in the dryer. I don't think there is enough room on the drying rack that we have so I told him we needed to do it when I could put clothes on the line. I have fond memories of helping my Nanny do just that, but mine is not nearly as long as hers. I am hoping to use it more often this spring and summer. Looking forward to a positive week!
