Happy Tuesday, friends! One part of this journey is learning how to live life without feeling like you are deprived. We had a wonderful event yesterday with much food! I could not eat everything and found it difficult to track everything because there wasn't really anything that appeared to be the same. I did the best I could. I am a work in progress. My sweet husband bought an air fryer so that we could make Poutine for an event at church. Why Poutine? He's from Canada and our event yesterday was for All Nations Sunday. I got a suggestion from my mother-in-law for a dessert bar, which was really good. I made nanaimo bars as a second option for our potluck with church. They turned out well and were enjoyed by many of my church family.
Here is something that I've figured out for myself. I can go really hard with this plan, working out daily or multiple times per day, eating fat free or the zero point foods, I could be so much closer to goal in just a matter of months. This time, however, I want to make sure that I can manage this for a lifetime. In order to make that happen, I'm willing to take things slow so that I can learn the skills necessary to make this work for me for a lifetime. I've been with WW for a number of years, longer than I would care to admit. During that time, there have been numerous changes. I haven't always been keen on the changes that were made, but I truly believe that these most recent changes are for the best. Right, wrong or indifferent, I will continue doing WW because it has worked for me and is working for me now. There are so many options, but not all of them are the right choices for me.
I hope everyone has a great Tuesday! If you try the nanaimo bars, let me know how you like them! :-)
